Estate Planning Simplified

There is a growing need for a streamlined, tech-driven process to create an estate plan that avoids the common pitfalls found in Do-It-Yourself programs. This quick and easy process provides affordability with the option to choose your plan based on your budget, yet it does not compromise on the attorney guidance and comprehensive, education-based holistic approach.

Marlet Edwards is an North Carolina attorney and the founder of The Edwards Law Office, PLLC ( Estate Planning NC ).  Since graduating from Campbell University's Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law in 2002, she has built her practice around helping individuals and families protect what matters most—while keeping loved ones out of court and out of conflict.

After beginning her career at a small law firm in downtown Raleigh, Marlet established her own firm in 2010 and focused her practice exclusively on estate planning and guardianship. Today, she serves clients across North Carolina—both in person and virtually—guiding them through wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other planning tools with a calm, practical approach.

Marlet is known for making the process clear and manageable, especially for families who feel overwhelmed by “where to start.”

Based on years of client feedback, she created an attorney-designed organization workbook, Knowledge in Transitions,  to help families gather the information their loved ones will need in an emergency or after a loss—covering assets, online accounts and subscriptions, health care instructions, key contacts, and more.
